Do What You Love To Do

Lyrics:

If freedom means anything at all
It’s the freedom to love your life
And the courage to follow where that love will go
And if it’s time for me to change
I know to some it may seem strange
But to find your way
Sometimes you’ve got to let go

We are young, we are old
Life is not something you’re told
We have to listen to the truth inside our hearts
It may change day to day
Life is not somewhere you stay
There’s a road that you’ll have to leave behind
For each new path you start
Do what you love to do

So many lives, so many ways
I look around a lot these days
And there’s something strong and free in everyone
But too many feel that they are stuck
And though their lives are in a rut
They will not leave the shade to find the sun

We are young, we are old
Life is not something you’re told
We have to listen to the truth inside our hearts
It may change day to day
Life is not somewhere you stay
There’s a road that you’ll have to leave behind
For each new path you start
Do what you love to do

So I could stick with what I’m doin’
But it is now my point of view
That it’s too hard to live knowin’ you have died
And though to some it sounds naive
It seems to come sometimes, you have to leave
And I know I won’t mind knowing at least I tried

We are young, we are old
Life is not something you’re told
We have to listen to the truth inside our hearts
It may change day to day
Life is not somewhere you stay
There’s a road that you’ll have to leave behind
For each new path you start
Do what you love to do
